After a long hiatus I've decided to come back and finish reviewing each episode of CBS one shot Mystery/Horror series Harper's Island, where I last left off was Episode 5: Thwack in which the series' first big "shocking" (& very public) murder occurred during the wedding rehearsal. Episode 6 takes place immediately where Episode 5 left off (middle of Day 5) with the fallout from the "shocking" murder, another body is discovered in the woods near The Candlewick Inn (where the wedding party is staying), and the sheriff is confronted by Abby, JD, & Henry about the Wakefield shrine/board in her father's attic/home office.
Pros: Decent overall editing, cinematography, and acting
Cons: This episode has a ton of soap opera drama (a lot, but not all of the drama from earlier episodes come to a head in this episode) and it has very little in the way of a body count/horror
Overall I give this episode a 5 out of 10 cause it imo gets dragged down by all the drama and had very little in the way of horror/deaths which is a bit of a expected disappoint after Episode 5. Also just like the previous episode the gore/special effects are pretty much kept to a minimum with only 3 instances (that I can recall) occurring on screen.
Episode Body Count: 1 Episode Body Discovery Count: 1
Series Body Count: 9 Series Body Discovery Count: 4
