Hey everyone tav here with my review of the second episode of the one shot horror/murder mystery TV series Harper's Island entitled "Crackle". This weeks episode picks up the day after the events in episode 1 "Whap" (see review here bit.ly/kc3hol )with a little scavenger hunt for all the wedding guests and as is par for the course continues the trend from episode 1 of developing some of the characters and their relationships, containing a few jump scares, and the occasional as of yet undiscovered murder/death.
Pros: Good acting, okay script (could have been better, but is hampered by some cheap jump scares and occasional bad dialogue), okay directing, and decent special effects.
Cons: Editing is kinda bad during the early part of the episode and created a little bit of confusion but luckily straightens itself out by the end of the episode, contains some cheap jump scares and occasional bad dialogue which brought the script down a little bit.
Overall I give "Crackle" a 6.9 out of 10 for good acting, some decent special effects, some cheap jump scares, and some bad editing early in the episode which hinders this episode from being slightly better than the first episode in the series even though it has a slightly higher body count and a little bit more blood than the previous episode. Well I hope you enjoyed my review, as always feel free to leave some feedback, and I hope you will check out next weeks review of Harper's Island episode 3.
Episode Body Count: 3 people and 2 deer
Total Series Body Count So Far: 5 people and 2 deer
