OK, so I watched "deadgirl" the other night and I gotta say I am kinda on the fence with this movie. I didn't hate it by any means, it was entertaining, but it didn't rock the sox off of my feet either. I was expecting more from this film, more HOLY SHIT parts ya know.
Basically, the plot is as follows: Two dorky dudes ditch class and break into the basement of an abandoned nut house. In the basement or broiler room whatever they find the naked body of a girl strapped to a gurney. She appears to be dead at first, but then she moves and one of the dudes gets the brilliant idea to use her for his sex slave. Then the madness ensues.
Like I said it was entertaining, and it did have some cool parts in it, the dude shitting out his guts was one of the best scenes. I liked the way the deadgirl looked too, she was freaky deaky! The soundtrack was sox rockin, but still, I thought it was lacking something. Not really sure what that something is, maybe my expectations were set a bit high. In any case, I give this movie 2.5 stars on The Wigwam Scale.

hey wigwam I agree with most of your review, though I am not as apathetic as you are towards this movie and feel more negatively towards it now that I have seen it. I would give it 3.5 out of 10 because it is a competently made movie and does have some good scenes( the bully shitting out his guts and the scene where J.T. and Wheeler are trying to pick out a replacement deadgirl at the gas station), but they are in my opinion few and far between, and the main character Rickie throughout the movie is such a whinny little bitch that by the halfway point it was grating to me to the point that I wanted to beat the shit out of him while talking some sense into him.....and the ending well the ending in my opinion was fucking creepy as hell......and yeah your not kidding about the madness ensuing after they find the deadgirl.

i may just be a movie snob, but man it's hard to find to find good mind blowing shit, ya know. i forgot about the gas station scene, that was pretty trippy. I usually watch a movie twice, the second time I notice more shit that usually makes the movie better. this one, eh, idk, not sure if it'll get a second viewing.

oh I know what you mean man, it's becoming increasingly harder to find good genre movies underneath the glut of shit flooding the direct to dvd market and movie theaters.

so true, it seems there's like an influx of remakes and tired old shit that keeps getting pumped out. there is hardly any originality left anymore.
