right off the top of my head I remember seeing a movie called "Uncle Sam" this comes from the netflix description:
"He lost his life in a helicopter crash during the Gulf War, but soldier Sam Harper (David Shark Fralick) is anything but dead now. Rising from the grave, Sam focuses all his anger and violence on his latest mission: taking out anyone who's crossed the U.S. government -- draft dodgers, flag burners, corrupt corporals, tax cheats and more. The action -- naturally -- takes place on the Fourth of July in this combo anti-war satire/slasher flick"
Has anyone seen this one?
I've been looking around for another one I saw as a kid but all I have is "A war is going on in a jungle and Aliens come down and help save the good guys." Its an eight's movie, can't remember the name of it for the life of me. Its f'ing bothering me.

Nate I remember the Uncle Sam one. There was a holographic poster or cover or something that had the traditional uncle sam and then a demonic one pointing at you with the "Uncle Sam wants you" slogan. Which is kind of creepy in and of itself. It's like he's my retarded, gay uncle talking about himself in the third person. Pointing his finger at me...
I think I might be scarred for life.

Hey Nate, I think the movie you are thinking about is called ZONE TROOPERS. Much like UNCLE SAME, it's poster and cover box had an alien doing the classic 'uncle same wants you' pose. I think it took place during WWII but I could be wrong. Hold on...Checked IMDB and yep, it was WWII. It was also a Charlie (Full Moon) Band Production. It stared Tim Thomerson, also of Full Moon fame.
I hope that helps out a bit.
One of the newer horror/war flicks I've seen is called STRAIGHT INTO DARKNESS. It's very creepy in a Tod Browning's FREAKS kind of way. Two U.S. soldiers go AWOL and runinto a bunch of Deformed Children that are fighting against the NAZI menace. They use real children with handicaps and deformities which can be very upsetting to watch. In fact, the first time I watched it I was with my best-friend/cousin who was born with only one arm and that made it more than a bit uncomfortable of a viewing experience.

Hey thanks professorbleak that is it! I was looking all around the internet last night and could not find anything that would help me remember. You rock! I'm going to have to get that and refresh my memory of this movie now.
